Job summary

F.L. Crane & Sons is seeking a Construction Safety Manager to lead safety for project operations, working with field leadership and GC safety teams to promote safe work practices and compliance with regulatory requirements.

You will develop and implement site-specific safety plans, participate in daily pre-task plans, conduct safety inspections, and coordinate training and documentation to ensure safe, compliant field operations.

Qualifications

• Requires OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Card.
• Ability to identify hazards, conduct inspections, and implement corrective actions.
• Strong communication with field teams, GC safety personnel, and subcontractors.
• Experience developing site-specific safety plans and daily pre-task hazard analyses.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on safety oversight for field operations.
• Maintain presence in active work areas and assess conditions.
• Collaborate with GC safety teams and trade partners.
• Develop and maintain site-specific safety plans and JHAs.
• Lead pre-task planning and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate safety briefings, training, and onboarding.
• Participate in incident investigations and return-to-work processes.
• Support emergency response planning and safety reporting.
