Turner & Townsend is seeking a proactive Construction Safety Facilitator to support health, safety, and environmental programs on complex construction projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, contractors, and client stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture, facilitate compliance with project safety requirements, and support the safe execution of all construction activities.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of construction safety experience on commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and risk management practices.
• Experience with inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ability to lead safety meetings, trainings and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication, organization and problem solving.
• Collaboration with contractors, subcontractors and project teams.

• Identify risks with project leadership and implement mitigations.
• Support emergency preparedness and safety training initiatives.

Job Description

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking a proactive Construction Safety Facilitator to support health, safety, and environmental programs on complex construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams, contractors, and client stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture, facilitate compliance with project safety requirements, and support the safe execution of all construction activities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong field safety experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage project teams in creating and maintaining safe work environments. This role requires a collaborative approach to hazard identification, risk mitigation, safety training, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Facilitate the implementation of project-specific health and safety programs and initiatives.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and field observations to identify hazards and support corrective actions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and engagement with project teams and contractors.
• Support daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, pre-task planning sessions, and safety orientations.
• Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA, client, and project safety requirements.
• Assist with incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking.
• Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), permits, and safe work plans.
• Track safety metrics, observations, and performance indicators and prepare safety reports.
• Collaborate with project leadership to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support emergency preparedness, safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and project compliance records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of construction safety experience supporting commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and risk management practices.
• Experience conducting inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations.
• Ability to facilitate safety meetings, training sessions, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working collaboratively with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety reporting systems.
• CHST, ASP, CSP, or similar professional safety certifications preferred.
