Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an EHS-focused professional to monitor data center projects onsite in Red Oak, TX. The role includes leading safety initiatives, coordinating with GC teams, and ensuring EHS compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate. Ideal candidates have a background in construction administration and data center projects, with strong skills in MS Office, Google Suite, and architectural drawing interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum four or more years' construction administration, architecture, or engineering experience.
• Previous data center construction experience is preferred.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
• Knowledge in MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Routinely monitor GC EHS performance to ensure compliance with stated practices and procedures.
• Interface with the construction management team at site by delivering current data on GC EHS performance and metrics.
• Participate in safety meetings and notices to communicate EHS information across the site.
• Ensure daily safety tours are conducted with GC management and owner reps.
• Participate in a daily site tour with the GC safety representative.
• Act as a coach and advisor to the safety committee.
• Support risk and hazard assessments for the business.
• Participate in Significant Incident investigations and Significant Event (SPE).
• When non-compliance is observed, report to GC and inform owner’s management representative.
• Oversee execution of the Boots on the Ground program.
• Participate in progress and schedule meetings where EHS is impacted.
• Assist in design reviews throughout the Life Cycle; planning, design, permitting, construction, Cx, handover to operations.

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to monitor construction projects for clients, with

direct accountability for project delivery on data center projects.

What you’ll do

• Routinely monitor the GC’s EHS performance to ensure that the GC isin compliance with their stated practices and procedures, regulatoryrequirements and any additional owner expectations/deliverables thatmay have been identified in the contract of work EHS Schedule
• Interface and support the construction management team at site bydelivering current data on GC EHS performance, including trending, incident management, EHS metrics and other key information that enable DC construction management to make informed timely decisions
• Participate in communication methods, such as safety meetings andnotices to ensure relevant EHS information is communicated across the site by GC’s and that DC management is included
• Ensure a daily walkabout/safety tour is conducted with the GCmanagement, representative and the owner’s representative (PM ordelegate), as practicable. PM management (not delegate) should stilltarget a weekly walkabout/inspection at a minimum
• Participate in a daily site tour with the GC safety rep
• Act as a coach and advisor to the safety committee
• Support the business in the conduct of risk and hazard assessments
• Participate in Significant Incident investigations and Significant
• Potential Event (SPE)
• When a non-compliance by a GC or their subs is observed,immediately bring the issue to the attention of the GC, while also ensuring the owner’s management rep/PM is informed
• Ensure KPIs, leading and lagging indicators and EHS data submittedby the GC is accurate, timely, and complete
• Conduct the monthly GC EHS evaluation
• Issue the weekly EHS summary
• Oversee execution of the Boots on the Ground program
• Participate in progress and schedule meetings where EHS is impacted
• Assist in design reviews throughout the Life Cycle; i.e. - planning,design, permitting, construction, Cx, and handover to operations
• Support the development of the DCCEHSP (Data Center ConstructionEHS Plan)
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction
• Management, or related field. In lieu of a degree, experience will be

• engineering or similar experience.
