Job summary

G&M Services LLC is seeking a Construction Safety Director to lead safety programs across multiple projects from their Hanover, MD base. You’ll shape safety culture, drive policy development, and mentor field teams to deliver safe, high‑quality projects.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of construction safety experience with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and risk management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building at all levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management or related field; CSP/CHST/ASP and OSHA 500 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve the corporate safety program across multiple projects.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct site audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance and improvement opportunities.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture with project executives and field teams.
  • Lead investigations of incidents and near misses and develop corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory requirements and deliver safety training.

Pay Range: $80k-$125k commensurate with experience

As our Construction Safety Director, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping the safety culture of a rapidly growing construction organization. What You’ll Do
  • Lead and continuously improve the company’s corporate safety program across multiple construction projects.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with project executives, superintendents, and field teams to promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Analyze incident trends and develop corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
  • Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and safety concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and all applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
  • Deliver engaging safety training and educational programs for employees and subcontractors.
  • Mentor and develop the safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Represent the company during regulatory inspections, client meetings, and safety audits.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of construction safety experience, with leadership responsibilities in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or heavy construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and risk management practices.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence teams at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and safety professionals simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills; bilingual in English and Spanish a plus!
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent and OSHA 500 certification are highly preferred; Advanced Safety Certificate required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred.
