Kokosing, Inc. in Ohio is seeking a Safety Co-op to gain hands-on experience supporting project teams in promoting a safe work environment.

You will work alongside safety professionals and operations leaders on construction safety practices, regulatory compliance, hazard recognition, training, incident prevention, and project safety planning. This role spans sites across our operating geography, including IN, MI, OH, PA, WV, KY, VA and MD, with opportunities to assist safety communications,

Competenze

• Pursuing an associates or bachelor's degree in a related field (Safety, Construction, Engineering).
• Open to all student levels (freshman–senior).
• Previous construction/safety experience is beneficial but not required.

Mansioni

• Assist Safety Specialists with implementing safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks and pre-task planning.
• Conduct jobsite walkthroughs to identify hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Document safety inspections, observations, audits and corrective actions.
• Support development and maintenance of project safety plans and training records.
• Help prepare safety communications and project updates.
• Assist with incident reporting and investigations while learning root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with project teams to promote a positive safety culture.
• Maintain records and assist with safety data collection.
