Job summary

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. seeks a Construction Safety Associate for night shift operations on a major data center project. You will oversee field safety, engage with field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors to promote safe work practices and ensure OSHA compliance.

You will supervise safety for fuel flushing activities and other heavy industrial construction tasks, while maintaining daily safety records and supporting incident investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of heavy industrial construction field safety experience
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and safety regulations
• Experience conducting field safety inspections, compliance monitoring, and hazard identification
• Strong knowledge of PPE requirements and JHA/JSA development and implementation
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with site management, contractors, and field personnel

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight and compliance engagement across active construction operations.
• Maintain a visible safety presence onsite and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, client requirements, and site safety procedures.
• Support safety oversight for fuel flushing activities and other heavy industrial construction operations.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety observations, and hazard assessments to identify unsafe conditions or behaviors.
• Verify proper use of PPE and adherence to safe work practices.
• Review and monitor compliance with JHA/JSAs and safety procedures.
• Assist with incident reporting, near-miss documentation, investigations, and corrective action tracking.
• Provide safety coaching and guidance to field employees, contractors, and vendor partners.
• Support emergency response activities in coordination with the project nurse and site safety team.
• Communicate safety expectations effectively with site management, project leadership, and field personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily safety documentation, reports, and compliance records.

Job Summary:

The Construction Safety Associate will provide field-based safety oversight and compliance support for a new mega data center construction project. This role will be responsible for maintaining a strong safety presence onsite, engaging with field personnel, subcontractors, and vendor partners to promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and client safety requirements.

The Construction Safety Associate will oversee vendor partners and subcontractors performing fuel flushing activities while ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with established procedures. The current night shift workforce consists of approximately six personnel and is not expected to significantly increase.
