Job summary

Safety Management Group in Caledonia, MI seeks a Safety Advisor – Construction for a 5-month project on a data center site. The role requires strong field safety leadership, extensive construction safety experience, and ability to manage safety programs for civil work.

The position is full-time with benefits, per diem for non-local candidates, and a 10-hour-day schedule, Mon-Fri. Knowledge of hazard analyses and incident reporting is essential.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of construction safety experience.
• BSCP Certification - CHST or higher is required.
• CSP or CHST certification with seven years of mission critical construction safety experience, or ten years of field safety experience on mission critical projects.
• Degree in safety or related field preferred.
• First-aid/CPR certification.
• OSHA 30-hr Construction

Responsibilities

• Site safety observations, including documentation of findings
• Oversee civil contractor
• Must be able to create reports, run safety metrics, and use other software programs
• Conduct Job Hazard Analysis
• Represent the contractor in progress meetings
• Verify compliance with safety policies and procedures as required by law, the Owner, and contractors
• Conduct New Hire Orientations and safety meetings
• Provides incident management and support
• Documentation and Report preparation
• Conducts Contractor program reviews
