Job summary

Satterfield & Pontikes seeks an experienced Risk Manager in Houston to oversee the company’s insurance and bond programs, renewals, and claim resolutions. You will liaison with carriers, sureties, and counsel to protect project interests across sites, manage builders risk and COIs, and supervise loss-control initiatives with safety teams.

The role requires a minimum of ten years' experience in construction-industry claims, strong knowledge of CGL, Builder's Risk, and Workers' Comp, and ability

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years' experience working with insurance claims in the design and construction industry.
• Experience with Commercial General Liability, Builder's Risk, and Workers' Comp claims.
• Experience in litigation management and subrogation with carriers and counsel.

Responsibilities

• Manage Insurance and Bond Program, including renewals.
• Drive carriers to resolve claims quickly.
• Be the point of contact for sureties and carriers on claim questions.
• Manage larger claims with Chief Risk Officer, General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel.
• Handle Surety Bonds (bid, P&P, maintenance, permit, etc.).
• Review COIs and project-specific insurance requirements in contracts.
• Review subcontractor COIs for project compliance.
• Oversee Builders Risk applications, renewals, and claims management.
• Coordinate Property & Casualty Insurance claims and Workers' Comp trends with safety.
• Coordinate Bond Claims with surety and project teams.
