Hirewell is seeking a Construction Risk Manager for a national affordable housing investment organization. The role focuses on evaluating and managing construction risk across a portfolio of affordable housing investments, from pre-closing through completion.

You will partner with Asset Management, Project Management, developers, sponsors, architects, and consultants to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies across ~25–30 active projects.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, contracts, and AIA documentation.
• Strong background in multifamily residential construction and site oversight.
• Ability to identify construction risks and propose practical mitigations, including value engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, budgets, and schedules to identify construction risks.
• Evaluate projects during underwriting and pre-closing for constructability and risk.
• Review third-party due diligence including environmental and cost assessments.
• Monitor approximately 25–30 active projects through completion.
• Review progress reports, payments, budgets, schedules, and change orders for risk.
• Identify potential overruns, delays, quality concerns, and scope issues.
• Work with developers, sponsors, contractors, and consultants to mitigate risk.
• Participate in regular reporting and communicate project risks and status.
• Assist in closeout activities including inspections and warranties.
