Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Eunice, New Mexico, is hiring a junior to mid-level Risk Engineer to join our growing team. The role focuses on risk identification, quantitative analysis, and collaboration with contractors and client teams on large construction projects.

The successful candidate will work onsite daily, bring strong communication and analytical skills, and support risk management across programs with emphasis on cost and schedule risk.

Qualifications

• Ability to work onsite in Eunice, New Mexico daily.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 2+ years of applicable experience.
• Program/Project control environment experience.
• Deep knowledge of risk identification and facilitation techniques.
• Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of construction contracts, commercial models and delivery methods.
• Experience with risk management data tools and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of threat and opportunity trigger points for risk profiling.
• Inform investment planning with risk data.
• Monitor risk exposure and remaining risk budget.
• Collaborate with contractors on risks and client-held risks.
• Produce risk reports to communicate status.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessment to inform contingency levels.
• Develop and improve risk management services for the client.
• Lead end-to-end risk management on multiple projects/programs.
• Create risk management plans in line with client requirements.
• Lead reviews, determine responses, and monitor risk profiles.
