Job summary

Power Construction is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead the company’s insurance, claims, and risk programs across construction operations. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, operations, and project teams, ensuring risk is proactively managed and financially optimized.

You will partner with Operations, Safety, Legal, Finance, and brokers to drive consistent risk decisions and secure favorable terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• CRIS designation (or equivalent) is required.
• 10+ years of progressive construction risk/insurance experience with ownership of insurance placement, renewals, claims governance, and CCIP/OCIP.

Responsibilities

• Partner with VP of Risk to direct departmental strategy and scale risk services.
• Optimize total cost of risk by structuring insurance programs, limits, and deductibles.
• Direct casualty insurance strategy, renewals, pricing, and coverage terms.
• Oversee comprehensive insurance portfolio including WC, GL, Auto, Umbrella/Excess, Professional, Cyber, and SDI; adapt to company expansion.
• Manage claims lifecycle and lead quarterly reviews with action plans to reduce severity.
