Job summary

Wade Trim in Omaha, NE is seeking a Construction Engineer to join our Construction team. Candidates should have 5+ years of experience and a bachelor's degree in civil or construction engineering, with experience on heavy civil work including tunnel, structural concrete and excavation.

You will interpret project plans, coordinate inspections, maintain project files and prepare reports while supporting project managers and client relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or construction engineering.
• Field experience in construction inspection.
• Experience on heavy civil and tunnel work.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans and specifications.
• Schedule and coordinate inspection, testing and survey staff.
• Conduct field inspections and maintain work item quantities.
• Maintain project files and record drawings.
• Prepare construction reports.
• Perform soil erosion control and sediment control inspections.
• Review technical data for adherence with project requirements.
• Assist with preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
• Assist with/review scope, budget and schedule of new project tasks.
• Monitor task budget and progress.
• Prepare project status and other reports.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals.
• Assist Project Managers.
• Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre construction, seminars and/or training classes, etc.
• Maintain excellent client relations.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
