The Judicial Council of California seeks a Construction Attorney to join the Real Estate Unit in San Francisco or Sacramento. The attorney will handle legal support for the state's courthouse facilities program, including construction contracts, acquisitions, leasing, and complex projects.

The role requires a California-licensed attorney with extensive real estate and construction experience, strong drafting skills, and the ability to work across multiple Judicial Council offices in a hybrid

Formación

• Juris Doctor and three years of relevant post-bar legal experience.
• Current active membership with the State Bar of California.
• Desirable: experience with large-scale construction projects.
• Knowledge of public entity administration and legal issues including procurement and governance.
• Experience in real estate matters, including leases and property acquisitions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal advice and support for courthouse construction projects, including contracts and disputes.
• Advise on modification and improvement projects, facilities maintenance contracts, and procurements.
• Research and draft legal memoranda, opinions, and policies related to facilities issues.
• Supervise outside counsel on real estate and construction matters.
• Support facilities-related advisory committees and other Judicial Council offices.
• Draft and negotiate site acquisitions, leases, and related environmental considerations.
