Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program for a single project under a senior quality manager. You will maintain the ITP, schedule and witness tests, and write the daily QC report while opening and tracking nonconformances with the engineer of record.

This is the first management seat for a field inspector or technician ready to own the program and grow to Quality Manager II; travel to project sites may be required as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be able to read specifications and drawings and translate them into a test schedule.
Direct, organized, and able to communicate with superintendents about nonconforming work.
Ability to maintain audit-ready submittals, mix designs, and material certifications.

Responsibilities

Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and testing frequency log against specifications.
Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
Verify certifications of technicians performing tests.
Write the daily quality control report and three-phase meeting records.
Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
