Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to lead the development and execution of the Project Quality Plan within the QMS framework for construction projects in Charlotte, NC. You will ensure corrective actions are completed and NCRs managed, while maintaining thorough documentation and client communication.

Responsibilities include audits, cross-functional collaboration, risk mitigation, and training project teams on QMS processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related experience.
• 3–8 years of relevant technical, quality or construction experience.
• Knowledge of USACE, DOT, ASTM, ACI, AASHTO standards preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems in a collaborative approach.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
• High attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Outlook, SharePoint, and project management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan within the QMS framework.
• Ensure timely corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
• Report nonconformances and manage NCRs.
• Identify and mitigate quality risks through pre-activity meetings.
• Review work plans to ensure quality activities are included.
• Conduct internal audits for QMS compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accuracy of quality documents and records.
• Coordinate third-party testing and inspection activities.
• Foster client relationships through clear communication.
• Promote continuous improvement and share best practices.
• Document quality activities and KPIs; report results.
• Train project teams on QMS processes and tools.
• Investigate and resolve vendor quality issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
