Qualifications

• Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures.

• Ability to establish strong working relationships with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect all construction materials, equipment, and supplies for compliance with contract documents and shop drawings.
• Inspect installation and workmanship for compliance with plans, specs, shop drawings and standards; verify prior to cover or close-in of work.
• Monitor quality and coordination of trade contractors' work; recommend improvements to the Owner and A/E.
• Report discrepancies to Architect/Engineer and Owner; do not interpret or change approved plans.
• Keep daily logs and records of construction activity, inspections, and changes; maintain site documents.
• Schedule and monitor inspections and special inspections.
• Notify Owner of safety violations, OSHA visits, and corrective actions.
• Verify invoices for on-site tests/site visits of independent testing entities.
• Submit weekly progress reports with supporting daily reports and drawings.
• Participate in progress and monthly pay meetings to review status and schedule.
