Job Title: Field Quality Inspector

Duration: 12 Months Contract

Description:

• Maintain consistent and open communication with engineering teams and supervisors both in office and remotely.
• Inspect completed construction to assess compliance with specifications and drawing requirements.
• Conduct field assessments of existing poles, wires, electrical equipment, and infrastructure, providing information on constructability, heights, topography, feasibility, and other considerations.
• Meet with stakeholders before, during, and after project initiation to discuss constraints such as existing infrastructure, underground utilities, vegetation, and landowner landscaping.
• Use measurement tools like “IKE” device to capture field measurements for engineering teams.
• Coordinate with NM 811 to locate underground utilities and document existing conditions with photos and reports.
• Review quality assurance documents for compliance.
• Attend pre-construction meetings to represent the client and engineering staff.
• Perform document control audits on field drawings, test records, etc., ensuring adherence to processes.
• Use client standards and design guidelines for quality assurance during construction and engineering.
• Meet with customers to discuss projects and relay onsite information to design teams.
• Ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
• Maintain all required licenses and certifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow all policies and standards.
• Assist with projects as a coordination point among work crews, engineers, and customers.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED and 7 years of related experience in quality roles and procedures.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in computer and communication media skills.
• Advanced technical writing experience required.
• Certified Welding Inspector - AWS certification required.
