Herzog Contracting Corp. is seeking Quality Engineer Interns across the United States to support projects in Philadelphia, PA; Springfield, VA; Washington, D.C.; San Antonio, TX; Denver, CO; Cincinnati, OH; Bakersfield, CA; and Gastonia, NC.

This hands-on role embeds you in construction operations and exposes you to multiple disciplines alongside Project Quality Managers and Inspectors. You will learn to interpret contract documents, perform field inspections, and manage quality records while

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Pursuing a degree is expected.
Strong communication in verbal and written form.
Ability to work well in a team and stay organized.

Responsibilities

Analyze contract documents, technical specs, and drawings to understand quality requirements.
Assist in managing quality documentation, including inspection reports and certifications.
Conduct daily field inspections of earthwork, concrete pours, steel erection, paving, and more for compliance.
Schedule and witness third-party materials testing such as soil compaction and weld inspections.
Collaborate with superintendents and crews to clarify quality standards and address issues.
Document and report quality status, non-conformances, and trends to project leadership.
