Position Summary

A Construction Quality Control (QC) Technician is responsible for sampling and testing aggregate and hot mix asphalt products. The technician ensures products meet specifications and reports results to management and construction crews. On-the-job training will prepare the employee for a Company-sponsored Quality Control Technician Certification from the Department of Transportation. This is a full-time, seasonal, benefits-eligible position, working April/May through November, with potential overtime, some Saturdays, and regional travel. Overnight stays may be reimbursed with per diem.

Requirements
  • Previous Quality Control experience preferred
  • Effective communication skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong listening skills
  • Proficiency in math and computer skills (spreadsheets & email)
  • Physical fitness to perform job functions including standing, squatting, bending, lifting, and walking for long durations
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Minimum age: 18 years
