Balfour Beatty is looking for a Quality Control Manager to join our team with a 24 month schedule at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD to replace an existing utility bridge and associated utility lines spanning over College Creek off the Severn River. The 600+ foot long utility bridge sits on steel piles capped with concrete foundations with prestressed concrete girders. The QC Manager will join the onsite QC team to help manage the contractor’s QC Program with the planning and daily execution of the project. Responsible for maintaining certain QC aspects of the project as assigned by the QC Program Manager, by managing the daily QC tasks of material/equipment delivery and installation.
Minimum of 15 years combined experience in the following positions: Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager on similar size and type construction contracts which included the major trades that are part of this Contract. At least 6 years experience as a QC Manager. Must be familiar with the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability. The QC Manager must be capable of reading, writing, and conversing fluently in English. This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security credential. Due to federal contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.
Pay Rate: $110,000-130,000. This is the range the company believes it would pay for this role at the time of posting. The final pay position will be based on factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and location. The company reserves the right to modify the range and to determine eligibility for bonuses or other compensation in its sole discretion, in compliance with applicable law.
