Job summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc., based in Bozeman, Montana, is a heavy-civil construction company with projects nationwide. We seek a Construction Quality Control Manager to lead quality programs, oversee field QA activities, and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance and safety across dam, marine, and earthwork projects.

The role requires extensive travel and relocation as projects are domestic and international, with a focus on meticulous QA, teamwork, and independent initiative.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of CQC management experience on large dam, marine, and earthwork projects.
• Willing to travel and relocate domestically and internationally.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Ability to access all points of a construction site in varied climates.

Responsibilities

• Develops, maintains, and verifies quality programs for the Project, with oversight of direct hire work and Sub-Contractor programs/plans.
• Manages and coordinates Quality activities related to field engineering, field procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning within the Project scope.
• Maintains client liaison and communication for Project's quality activities, as directed by the Project Manager.
• Reviews, audits and surveys Quality activities across the Project direct hire execution and Sub-Contractors and reports quality problems and progress to management.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field. Equivalent experience in a construction-related position will also be considered.
• Must be willing to travel and relocate. Project sites are located domestically and internationally, so relocation and/or travel are required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience of related CQC management experience on large dam, marine construction, and earthwork construction projects.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
