Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years’ experience in construction inspection operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of private contractors to ensure compliance with City requirements and overall quality assurance.
• Interact with contractor and plant personnel as necessary.
• Communicate with engineers, contractors and architects as needed.
• Perform contract document reviews.
• Attend project meetings, including pre-construction and progress meetings.
• Verify installation of materials on project sites and presence of materials on- and off-site.
• Prepare daily reports of activities and review contractor pay requests.
• Support the City’s relationship with the public while maintaining confidentiality and providing service.
