Job summary

BB&E, an employee-owned civil and environmental engineering and consulting firm, seeks a Construction Engineering Technician to support NAVFAC Mid-Atlantic on-site at MCAS Cherry Point, Havelock, NC. The role focuses on construction quality assurance, site safety, and technical support across design and field activities.

You will coordinate QA programs, review contractor QC plans, witness testing, manage safety reviews, and liaise with the Government sponsors and NAVFAC Construction Manager

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain a government security clearance.
• High School diploma is required for the position.
• CQM certification within 60 days of start is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction QA programs and monitor QC checklists.
• Review contractor QC plans and witness testing and commissioning.
• Support safety programs, conduct site safety reviews and incident follow-ups.
• Assist with on-site coordination of permits, lay-down areas, and utilities.
• Maintain liaison with NAVFAC CM and government sponsors.
