Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball seeks a Quality Control Manager for a site in Haskell, TX. You will provide QA/QC services on daily operations, plan QM tasks, and resolve complex issues to meet QM expectations while staying on schedule and within budget.

You will work closely with construction crews, engineers, and project managers to ensure quality outcomes, manage risks, and implement corrective actions across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years’ construction industry experience with a contractor engaged in general building construction.
• Welding experience with certification in code stamping.
• Knowledge of a wide range of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
• Combination of high school diploma with QC experience and certifications will be considered.
• Proficient with MS-based software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficient with QA/QC systems, platforms, and technologies for tracking, metrics and reporting.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times.
• Manage inspector resources including third party and direct-hire quality inspectors.
• Provide project-wide oversight on quality and requirements compliance; review materials and compliance to specifications.
• Manage contract documents and project risk related to quality.
• Manage welding-related projects in accordance with codes.
• Collaborate with construction teams to support QM needs of the program.
• Establish metrics to identify trends for inspections, root causes and corrective actions.
• Ensure Quality is maintained on site across all project aspects.
• Coordinate change orders related to quality with stakeholders.
• Work with clients, engineers, technicians, and managers to achieve project objectives.
