Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a QA/QC Manager in Dallas to oversee quality across civil, structural, architectural and MEP works. You will lead QC procedures, perform site inspections, and coordinate with clients and inspectors to ensure compliance with drawings and codes.

The role requires at least 5 years in QA/QC within construction, strong knowledge of ASTM/ISO standards, and excellent communication. On-site position with opportunity to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certification in QA/QC (e.g., ISO 9001, CSWIP, AWS, or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (ASTM, BS, ACI, ISO).
• Reads blueprints accurately and understands subcontractors' scopes and tolerances.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; basic Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan and ITPs.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, and codes.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor quality requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors.
• Review and approve material submittals and technical docs.
• Implement QC procedures for civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works.
• Identify NCRs, recommend corrective actions, and verify closure.
• Monitor testing activities (concrete, soil, welding, NDT).
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and as-built docs.
• Conduct internal audits and assist in external audits.
• Promote quality awareness through training and toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with construction teams to resolve issues without delaying schedules.
