Florida Forest Service is seeking an OPS Construction Project Consultant II to support the Supervising Construction Projects Administrator. The role focuses on facility/structure and road/bridge projects, budgeting, planning, and coordinating with architects and engineers in project development.

The successful candidate will discuss scope, budget, and timeline with field units, monitor schedules, and ensure projects meet design guidelines and funding constraints. Travel to sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, construction, mechanical or architectural engineering or architecture with 4 years of building construction experience, 2 years supervising projects.
• Master's degree in the described areas with 3 years of construction experience, 2 years supervising projects.
• Possession of a valid Class E driver's license.

Responsabilités

• Assist in managing facility/structure and road/bridge program; budget, planning, and policy changes.
• Identify maintenance and replacement needs; provide cost estimates and start approved projects.
• Manage projects from inception to completion with time, scope and budget oversight.
• Prepare schedules, coordinate with designers/architects, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Review contracts, bid openings, and change orders; monitor progress and expenses.

Formation

Bachelor's degree in civil/construction/mechanical or architectural engineering or architecture

Master's degree in civil/construction/mechanical/architectural engineering or architecture with 3 years experience
