Job summary

CMTS LLC in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Project Scheduler to manage complex construction schedules, forecast trends, and support decision-making across teams. You will develop and maintain schedules, perform time impact analyses, and contribute to claims and change orders.

This full-time, on-site role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–10 years of scheduling experience, strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Office, plus a proactive, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Office Applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering and scheduling.
  • Experience with time impact analysis.
  • Experience with construction claims and change orders.
  • Flexibility in schedule based on assigned schedule and duties.
  • Primavera P6 proficiency
  • WBS Knowledgeable

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation of project schedules based on defined project execution philosophies
  • Perform contractor schedule reviews for contract conformance and quality assurance
  • Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule
  • Perform time impact analysis of project schedule delays and potential claims
  • Participate in change order negotiations
  • Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses
  • Identify schedule related problems which arise during project execution and recommend corrective actions and creative solutions
  • Conduct construction/project site visits for progress reporting
  • Review contractor’s weekly and monthly schedule progress, prepare narrative of findings, submit and present to management for decision making
  • Review and evaluate contractor recovery schedules
  • Perform cost loaded schedule to support comprehensive cash flow projections
  • Understand, interpret and apply contracts, policies and procedures within guidelines
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Flexibility in schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned schedule and duties
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

About Your Role

Scheduler manages complex project schedules to ensure timely and efficient project delivery. Develop and maintain detailed schedules, analyze progress and risks, and support decision-making through forecasting and scenario planning. The role involves close collaboration with project teams, reporting on schedule performance, and contributing to claims or dispute analysis. Scheduler may also provide leadership by mentoring junior staff and establishing scheduling best practices.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other related field. Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education on a year for year basis.
