Job summary

Plote Construction is seeking a skilled scheduler to support project management for excavation, paving and civil work in Northern Illinois. You will collaborate with the Project Manager, Sr. PM, and subcontractors to develop and distribute daily, weekly and long-range schedules.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organized data handling and proactive communication to align field progress with cost control and procurement needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret Construction Plans and Specifications.
• Must be detailed, organized and accurate.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-directed and motivated.

Responsibilities

• Produce and distribute the Daily Project Schedule with the PM/Sr. PM and subs.
• Produce and distribute the Weekly 3-week Lookahead Schedule.
• Produce and distribute the long-term Detailed Progress Schedule.
• Update material needs from the schedule and communicate with suppliers.
• Review plans and specs to determine basis of payment and method of measurement for cost coding.
• Process submittals, schedules, quantity takeoffs and pay estimate data.
• Collect and review daily trucking logs and material summaries.
