Job summary

Terrace Group Holdings in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Construction Project Manager to supervise field construction and ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to specified quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of experience in real estate development/construction, preferably with a general contractor in self-storage or similar assets. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in commercial construction or real estate development.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in real estate development and/or construction for self-storage or similar commercial asset types.
• Experience working for a General Contractor in self-storage or adjacent asset classes preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and assist with scoping, planning, and budgeting.
• Maintain a regular on-site presence at existing and proposed building sites with frequent local travel within Southern California.
• Evaluate specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, and staffing requirements for each phase.
• Estimate scope of work and obtain bids for comparison and completion of each job.
• Coordinate, direct, monitor, inspect activities of General Contractor, Subcontractors and Suppliers.
• Assist Development Manager in development/refinement of the Project Schedule and ensure milestones are met.
• Plan and review the Construction Program including quality control, safety, utilities, and manpower.
• Ensure permits, licenses, and safety notices are obtained and posted.
