Job description

Imperium Construction Services is a general contractor and construction management firm specializing in fitness, retail, corporate offices, and commercial interiors.

We’re growing and looking for a Project Manager who takes ownership, communicates clearly, and follows through. You’ll manage projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with our Director of Projects, field team, clients, and subcontractors to deliver quality work.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day project management, keeping scope, budget, schedule, and quality on track.
  • Manage subcontractor bidding, scope reviews, leveling, and buyout. Identify gaps before contracts are awarded.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with the superintendent. Track procurement and long-lead items, and address delays early.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and project documentation through Procore.
  • Maintain accurate budgets, cost forecasts, commitments, and change order logs. Review subcontractor payment applications and prepare client billing.
  • Identify changes in scope, document their cost and schedule impact, and obtain approvals.
  • Lead weekly owner, architect, and contractor meetings. Communicate decisions, responsibilities, and deadlines clearly.
  • Support superintendents with subcontractor coordination, site logistics, quality control, and resolution of field issues.
  • Manage punch lists, inspections, turnover requirements, and closeout documentation.
  • Keep leadership informed of project performance, risks, and decisions requiring attention.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of commercial construction experience, including experience managing projects as a Project Manager.
  • Experience with commercial interior buildouts. Fitness, retail, hospitality, or work in occupied buildings is a plus.
  • Strong ability to read drawings, review specifications, and understand subcontractor scopes.
  • Experience managing schedules, budgets, change orders, and subcontractor performance.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Microsoft Excel, and construction scheduling software.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities without losing track of details.
  • Ability to communicate directly and professionally with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
  • Availability for regular site visits and travel to project locations as required.
What We’re Looking For

Someone who anticipates problems, brings solutions, and keeps commitments. You should be comfortable making decisions, holding people accountable, and asking for support when needed. We value people who care about both the finished product and the process it takes to get there.
