Job summary

Soltek Pacific is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our team in San Diego. The Project Manager will oversee construction projects from pre-construction planning through completion, ensuring cost, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualified candidates have seven+ years in project management, experience with public works (educational facilities preferred), and a bachelor’s degree in construction or engineering.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience with public works projects preferred, especially educational facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; Primavera scheduling is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
• Develop project schedules and drive on-time delivery.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and related documents.
• Negotiate and manage cost proposals.
• Perform financial analysis of project (cost-to-complete).
• Prepare monthly status reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with regulations for assigned projects.
• Direct the work of project staff and provide support to site teams.
• Meet regularly with management to provide status updates.
