Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a Construction Project Manager to own end-to-end performance of a modular product value stream in Spokane, WA. You will lead project plans, schedules, scopes, and execution while coordinating across manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and commercial teams to deliver on cost, quality, and schedule goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in CM/engineering, 6 years of PM/engineering/construction experience, and OSHA 30.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 6 years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction preferred.
  • Experience with a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.
  • Prior modular, prefabricated, or offsite manufacturing construction experience is a plus.
  • Proficient with project scheduling software preferred.
  • Completed OSHA 30 class is required.
  • Understanding of accounting and financial management preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transition of project management and engineering activities from design through construction.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain project plans, submittals, schedules, scopes of work, and execution strategies for a manufactured project across many construction projects.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate project risks proactively throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client relationships, driving alignment and satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Prepare and manage client and subcontractor change orders.
  • Monitor, control, and report on project financial performance, including cost, margin, and forecasted outcomes.
  • Lead coordination among trades, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams to support successful execution.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide direction to project team members.

The Opportunity with McKinstry

We are adding a Construction Project Manager to our Offsite Manufacturing team in Spokane, WA. This role owns the end-to-end operational and contractual performance of a defined modular product value stream. The Project Manager is a key member in facilitating successful manufacturing execution including project plans, schedules, scopes of work, materials, production output, and customer alignment. This role is accountable for delivering cost, quality, schedule, and contractual outcomes while coordinating across manufacturing operations, supply chain, engineering, commercial teams, trades, subcontractors, and vendors. You will join an established, diverse team where you can make an immediate impact. Lead the transition of project management and engineering activities from design through construction.

Develop, manage, and maintain project plans, submittals, schedules, scopes of work, and execution strategies for a manufactured project across many construction projects.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or equivalent professional experience required.
  • 6 years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction is preferred.
  • Experience working for a General Contractor or Major Mechanical Subcontractor preferred.
  • Prior experience in modular, prefabricated, or offsite manufacturing construction environments is a plus.
  • Proficient with project scheduling software preferred.
  • Completed OSHA 30 class is required.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of accounting and financial management preferred.

The pay range for this position is $93,600 - $147,060 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
