Job summary

Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Public Works in Prior Lake, MN is seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple projects, develop plans, estimates, and ensure safety and quality. The ideal candidate has AutoCAD experience and strong coordination with engineers and contractors.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and permits, prepare performance reports, and support Capital Improvement Plan development while working with SMSC departments and external partners.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management, construction or civil engineering, or related field.
• 4 years of proven experience in project management from project development to project close-out.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiar with Microsoft Project (preferred).
• Knowledge of construction laws and building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering/construction plans and specs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative direction and oversight for Public Works construction and maintenance projects.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external resources through project completion.
• Assist with development of construction plans, specifications, and permit submittals.
• Develop preliminary project estimates and assist with Capital Improvement Plan development.
• Provide project performance status reports regarding cost, schedule and safety.
• Maintain oversight of project budget and process invoices.
