Job summary

Earthtone Construction Inc. is seeking a Project Manager in Sebastopol, CA to lead complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will manage budgets, schedules, risk, and client relations to deliver high-quality outcomes.

With a Bachelor's in Construction Management or Engineering and at least six years of relevant experience, you will coordinate with designers, engineers, and subcontractors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of standard construction means and methods from site work to finish.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering (civil or mechanical) preferred.
• Six (6) years related experience, and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to establish and maintain effective relationships between owner/client, subcontractors, vendors, designers, engineers, and Earthtone Construction employees.
• Proactively provide context, oversight, and direction throughout all phases of the construction project and ensure communication across teams.
• Identify problems during all stages and weigh input to provide clear practical solutions.
• Independently examine drawings/specifications for deficiencies and suggest practical alternatives.
• Develop project budgets with estimator and present detailed notes showing workups and assumptions.
• Coordinate and chair pre-construction meetings per standard process.
• Lead milestone construction walks (framing, electrical, close-in, etc.).
• Manage project information: budgets, plans, changes, RFI/RFPs, submittals, samples.
• Establish and maintain a detailed project schedule using Microsoft Project.
• Collaborate with Project Superintendent on safety, QA/QC, temporary utilities, and field logistics.
• Ensure compliance with Cal-OSHA/OSHA and Earthtone safety programs.
• Oversee permits/licenses and coordinate with agencies for requirements.
• Prepare monthly project billing and report weekly status to Senior Management.
• Supervise Project Engineer and oversee construction labor and subcontractors.
