Job summary

Wolverine Building Group in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Construction Project Manager II to lead commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. Responsible for estimating, bidding, scheduling, budgeting, and execution across multi-site work for franchise clients.

You will manage multiple $3M–$8M projects, build strong client and trade partner relationships, and champion a safe, high-quality client experience while coordinating teams and subs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Proven ability to independently manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong experience with estimating, bidding, buyout, and project financial management.
• Experience successfully managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with commercial project types such as retail, restaurants, convenience stores, gas stations, car washes, office, education, childcare, or similar commercial construction
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Lead estimating, bidding, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, typically ranging from $3M-$8M
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Monitor project financial performance, forecasts, change orders, and cost controls
• Facilitate project meetings and drive accountability across project teams
• Identify and resolve project challenges proactively to maintain schedule and budget
• Prequalify and manage subcontractors while expanding trade partner relationships
• Champion a strong safety culture and exceptional client experience
