Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Project Manager to lead project quality, timeliness, and safety while mentoring the team. This role includes developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.

Compensation is determined based on experience and location, with two levels (PM I and PM II) offered based on qualifications. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in construction-related fields, willingness to travel up to 100%, and strong financial management skills to oversee

Qualifications

• Six years of construction management or related experience.
• The base pay range for this role is $113,500–$170,300 (PM I) and $132,100–$198,200 (PM II).
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Detail orientation and effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects including subcontracts and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial projections and allocate estimates into financial systems.
• Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and provide financials and billings to Accounting.
• Create monthly owner billings and handle contract management including buyouts.
• Oversee budget for trade partners and suppliers; lead Assistant PMs and Project Engineers.
• Approve timecards and provide ongoing feedback on performance.
• Serve as main point of contact with owner and on-site representative; review owner agreement.
• Execute/Manage change orders and obtain approvals from customer/architect.
• Maintain schedule and budget; manage quality, risk, safety, and cross-organizational relations.
