Job summary

Pasco County is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex architectural and construction planning for new facilities, expansions, and capital improvements. The role requires coordinating architects, engineers, contractors and vendors to meet budgets and schedules.

The ideal candidate will oversee contract negotiations, monitor project costs, and ensure compliance with county, state and federal guidelines. A PMP or architectural license is preferred; a Florida driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or related field, and six years of experience in architecture, project management or construction.
• Master's Degree with four years of experience may substitute for Bachelor's requirement.
• General Contractor's License may substitute for the Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates and supervises staff, architects, engineers, contractors and vendors to complete capital projects.
• Oversees budgets, contract negotiations, and monitoring for construction projects.
• Advises and directs staff on procedures from inception to completion of capital improvements to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Acts as liaison between county departments, elected officials and budget offices to meet timelines and funding.
• Prepares project status reports and schedules; manages ADA and security improvement projects.
