Job summary

Metric DCX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of hyperscale data center facilities. You will manage large teams, coordinate with owners, designers, and trade partners, and drive projects from preconstruction through turnover.

Ideal candidates bring data center/mission-critical construction expertise, strong PM leadership, and proficiency with Procore, Primavera P6, and MS Office. Travel to project sites is required.

Project Manager – Mission Critical / Data Centers

We are partnered with a nationally recognized General Contractor that is now buidling out their Data Center division, and they are looking for a Project Manager with Data Center construction experience that is interested in starting a brand new project and building out a new team!

This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of hyperscale and mission-critical data center facilities, working alongside some of the industry's most sophisticated owners, designers, consultants and trade partners.

The Role

As Project Manager, you will have significant responsibility for the successful delivery of large-scale data center projects from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.

You will lead project teams, manage commercial and technical risk, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to the highest standards of quality.

What Makes This Different:

Data center construction isn't traditional commercial construction.

These facilities operate around zero tolerance for failure, with complex power, cooling, controls and redundancy requirements and aggressive delivery schedules. The successful Project Manager will understand how to coordinate thousands of individual activities while maintaining absolute focus on safety, quality, schedule and operational readiness.

You will be working on projects where schedule certainty matters, commissioning is critical and the MEP systems are often the heart of the building.

What We’re Looking For

• Data center / mission-critical experience required.
• A mix of industrial, mission-critical and data center construction is also preferable
• Proven experience managing major construction projects as a Project Manager.
• General Contractor/Subcontractors experience strongly preferred.
• Understanding of MEP systems and construction coordination.
• Experience managing major subcontractors and multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Experience with commissioning, turnover and early operational requirements.
• Experience with platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office is highly desirable.

Travel Required!

Candidates must be comfortable travelling to West Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.
