Job summary

ARCO National Construction Company is seeking a motivated Project Manager Co-op in Massachusetts for a 6–8 month full-time engagement. You will support estimating, scheduling, design coordination, buyout, permitting, and site visits as you learn real-world construction management.

You must be enrolled in a civil/mechanical/architectural or construction management degree with a 3.0+ GPA, and prior internship or co-op construction exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Previous internship or Co-op construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimating proposals and assigning project dollar values.
• Create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades.
• Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand proposals.
• Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subs; evaluate proposals and award subcontracts.
• Fill out and file permit forms with drawings and fees for city/county approval.
• Review shop drawings and submittals with PM and coordinate material orders.
• Assist with subcontracting, change orders, pay requests and pay applications.
• Visit job sites with PM to ensure projects run smoothly.
