Job summary

Granger Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead public sector projects from inception through closeout in Michigan. You will coordinate owners, architects, subcontractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality facilities that matter to communities.

The role requires managing RFIs, submittals, schedules, and budgets with precision, ensuring BIM/MEP coordination, and writing subcontracts and purchase orders. A strong communicator with a builder’s mindset will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with construction-specific software like Procore, ViewPoint, or Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and cost tracking with precision.
• Oversee project schedules, coordinate MEP and BIM processes, and ensure compliance with public sector standards.
• Write subcontracts and purchase orders, monitor budgets, and proactively resolve issues.
• Deliver projects to closeout with a zero-punch list goal and comprehensive handoff.
