Job summary

Confidential Employer in Washington, DC is seeking a Landscape Construction Project Manager to lead complex projects from pre-construction through closeout. You will own estimates, schedules, budgets, and field coordination while collaborating with designers, foremen, clients, and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Proven landscape construction project management or operations management experience.
  • 3+ years of directly relevant experience recommended.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape construction, hardscaping, construction detailing, materials, tools, and heavy equipment.
  • Experience with estimating, budgeting, procurement, project scheduling, and cost control.
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent client, vendor, and team communication skills.
  • Comfortable using project management software and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, hands-on construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage landscape construction projects from preconstruction planning and estimating through execution and closeout.
  • Prepare detailed construction estimates, budgets, material requirements, and project plans.
  • Build and maintain schedules across multiple crews and active projects.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, vendors, and other resources to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Serve as a technical resource for landscape construction methods, hardscaping, materials, equipment, and installation best practices.
  • Partner with designers and foremen to ensure a smooth transition from design through field installation.
  • Monitor project costs, identify variances, and find opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate pricing, project data, and product information within company systems.
  • Communicate directly with clients throughout projects and address questions or concerns professionally.
  • Build strong vendor relationships and support reliable, cost-effective procurement.
  • Train and support team members on equipment, landscaping, hardscaping, carpentry, and construction best practices.
  • Work with leadership to improve operational systems, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
