Project Manager – Multifamily Construction

Scott Humphrey Corporation is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead multifamily wood‑frame construction projects in the Virginia Beach area.

Compensation

Base salary $90k–$130k per year with annual bonus and vehicle allowance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and manage overall project success, focusing on budgeting, planning, scheduling and quality.
• Organize and participate in project meetings with staff, owners, architects and trade partners.
• Prepare contracts and change orders in a timely fashion.
• Prepare and communicate monthly variance cost/budget reports to the management team.
• Provide oversight for all phases of construction, ensuring contract documents are followed and work is on schedule and within budget.
• Foster strong partnership with owners to help the firm build on its repeat business.
• Assist in close‑out documentation.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or related discipline.
• Minimum three years’ experience in multifamily and commercial construction.
• Successfully managed multiple projects to completion with values ranging from $20M–$60M.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
