Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Construction Project Manager for a contract-to-hire role based in Kirkwood, MO. The ideal candidate will lead projects from kickoff to closeout, coordinating schedules, labor, materials, and subcontractors while serving as the main liaison among customers, general contractors, field teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

The role requires strong project management skills, experience with budgeting and scheduling, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Construction Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, planning, and coordination.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong computer skills and comfort learning new technology platforms.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of construction projects from kickoff through closeout.
  • Coordinate schedules, manpower, materials, subcontractors, and milestones.
  • Serve as primary contact between customers, general contractors, field personnel, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Monitor budgets, schedules, and production goals to keep projects on track.
  • Review drawings, specs, and contract documents.
  • Track changes, RFIs, submittals, and other project docs.
  • Work with field leadership to identify labor needs in advance.
  • Attend project meetings with customers, contractors and internal teams.
  • Identify risks and develop solutions to protect schedules and profitability.
  • Assist with estimating and bidding activities as experience grows.

Job Title: Construction Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager to join a growing plumbing contractor that partners with some of the region's largest General Contractors on high-profile commercial and industrial construction projects. This company performs work on manufacturing facilities, industrial warehouses, gas stations, and data centers throughout the St. Louis area. This position is ideal for someone with strong project management experience who enjoys leading projects from start to finish, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and proactively driving successful project outcomes. Previous plumbing experience is not required. The company is willing to train the plumbing-specific aspects of the role for candidates who possess strong project management fundamentals, organizational skills, and communication abilities.

Essential Skills
  • Experience in a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Construction Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Construction industry experience preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $52.00/hr.
