Job description

The Role

Role is preferred to live in one of the following states: MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, VA, MD. REMOTE WITH 50% TRAVEL REQUIRED.

GTI is growing rapidly! We are seeking a logistical and construction management expert to oversee CPG construction projects. As a Construction Project Manager for GTI CPG, you will serve as the liaison between GTI HQ and our Cultivation/Processing Facility build-outs, ensuring scope, quality, timelines, and budgets are maintained. You should have excellent communication skills to work with subcontractors, vendors, and team members. Proven experience managing 20+ projects across a national landscape is required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage CPG construction projects along with smaller business, repair, or energy upgrade projects as needed.
  • Oversee all phases of construction project management, from feasibility to project close-out, including due diligence, scheduling, budgeting, planning, design, FF&E procurement, and startup coordination.
  • Act as the single point of contact for field execution, coordinating with stakeholders, departments, contractors, suppliers, landlords, and authorities to ensure project goals are met and data-driven decisions are made.
  • Prepare and update project status reports, tracking documents, and maintain files for due diligence and financials.
  • Monitor project performance in terms of cost, schedule, and scope delivery.
  • Develop an execution plan with a resource-loaded critical path schedule.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations, enforcing GTI's standards.
Working Conditions
  • Daily exposure to allergens such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 10 years of construction project management experience; 7 years preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-site/multi-state locations in a high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency with construction budgets and management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, Timberline, PlanGrid).
  • Knowledge of planning, operations, and manufacturing.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, and estimating/scheduling software.
  • Ability to handle ad-hoc projects and work independently or in teams.
  • Motivated, innovative, with strong judgment and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • High level of critical thinking and professionalism, including handling confidential information.
  • Understanding of industry rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Additional Requirements
  • Pass all required background checks.
  • Comply with legal and company regulations.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Approval by state badging agency to work in the cannabis industry.
