Job summary

Willdan Group, Inc. is seeking a seasoned EPC Project Manager to lead multi-discipline electrical infrastructure projects from design through closeout.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and resources while coordinating engineering, procurement, and construction activities to meet client specifications and contractual obligations. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with emphasis on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience managing utility-scale EPC projects (PV, BESS, substations).
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Procore and MS Project for planning and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of assigned EPC projects from design through closeout.
  • Develop and manage detailed schedules, budgets, work plans, and resources.
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables, procurement, and construction to meet obligations.
  • Serve as main liaison with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and regulators.
  • Identify and mitigate risks; resolve issues to avoid cost overruns and delays.
  • Ensure safety, environmental, and quality standards compliance.
  • Oversee contract administration, changes, invoicing, and reporting.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality.
  • Foster collaboration across engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Support business development with technical input, cost estimates, and proposals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of assigned EPC projects, from engineering design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, work plans, and resource allocation.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Leadership: Guiding and motivating teams to achieve objectives.
  • Communication: Effectively conveying information and collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Planning, scheduling, and managing multiple aspects of a project.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifying and overcoming obstacles and risks.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to manage scope changes and evolving project requirements.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional experience utilizing Procore is preferred.
  • 5 years of experience managing utility scale EPC projects like PV, BESS and Substation.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project and Procore for collaboration and tracking progress.
