Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Project Management Consultant in Connecticut. The role supports project delivery from initiation through completion, with a hybrid work preference for local candidates who can visit CT client sites.

You will manage scope, budget, schedules, and risk while coordinating resources and governance to ensure data integrity and timely reporting. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; LEED AP, PMP, or CCM preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and numerical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all areas of project management for single real estate projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Work directly with clients to prepare the scope of work, budget, milestones, and risk management.
  • Define delivery resources, conduct RFPs, bid evaluations, and recommend resources.
  • Implement governance aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity, timely documentation, and coordinated project records.
  • Direct the project delivery team and provide guidance to achieve goals.
  • Create action plans, track progress, and report status and variances.
  • Identify threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach teammates and share knowledge across disciplines.
  • Lead by example in CBRE RISE values and build consensus.

About The Role

As a Project Management Consultant, you will be responsible for providing consulting services to an assigned market or client account to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives.

This is a Hybrid role with a preference for the selected candidate to be in the local area with the ability to visit client sites or project sites in CT as dictated by project requirements.

This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage all areas of project management for singular real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct a standard request for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Implement project documentation governance that is aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Ensure project data integrity and documentation is accurate, timely, and coordinated.
  • Direct the project delivery team by providing guidance and direction to achieve goals.
  • Create action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule. Track the progress of each project and report status and variances.
  • Demonstrate ability to identify project threats and develop risk mitigation and contingency plans. Implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
  • Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies.
  • Explain difficult or sensitive information.
What You’ll Need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered. LEED AP, PMP, and/or CCM designation(s) preferred.
  • Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $115,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $145,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
