Job summary

1 Resource Group is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee civil construction projects, focusing on underground utilities. You will manage on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, monitor budgets, and ensure safety and quality compliance.

This role requires at least five years of PM experience in heavy civil work, strong leadership, and excellent communication. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively are essential.

Qualifications

Job description

The Construction Project Manager for our client who specializes in underground utilities are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget, on schedule, and in accordance with company quality standards. This position requires a large percent of the travel.

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising and coordinating all construction activities on-site
• Must have 5 years of Project Management experience in civil construction preferably with underground utilities and/or technology/ electrical and fiber in nature.
• Monitors budget/ Cost throughout the project and communicates variances as they occur.
• Ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety standards
• Managing and coordinating subcontractor activities
• Monitoring project progress and conducting regular site meetings
• Managing and tracking project schedules and budgets
• Preparing and submitting daily progress reports
• Collaborating with the Project Manager to resolve any issues or disputes
• Ensuring timely and accurate communication with project stakeholders
• Ensuring that all work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures

• Minimum of 5 years of as a project manager or similar role in heavy civil/ underground utilities
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, techniques, and materials
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• OSHA certification preferred
• Bachelor's degree in civil or related field is a plus

• This job requires travel a large percent of the time.
