Job summary

Progressive Companies in Michigan seeks a Construction Project Manager to drive project plans, budgets, and schedules from inception to completion. You will oversee subcontractor selection, negotiations, and performance while managing risks and coordinating with clients and teams.

The role requires 8+ years in commercial construction, a Michigan Builders License, and proficiency with Procore/Bluebeam and MS Office. A hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of post-graduate construction experience.
  • Commercial construction project experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel.
  • Michigan Builders License required.
  • OSHA 10/30 and CPR/First Aid training.
  • Procore and Bluebeam experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Oversee subcontractor selection, contract negotiations, and performance.
  • Monitor progress and ensure milestones are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Lead project meetings with stakeholders and coordinate next steps.
  • Collaborate with field teams, subcontractors, and leadership to align execution with objectives.
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders to minimize disruptions.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews to verify compliance with specs and standards.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and promote a zero-incident safety culture.
  • Maintain comprehensive project records including schedules, financials, and compliance.

Job description

As a Construction Project Manager, you will drive the successful execution of construction projects by developing and managing detailed plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely and efficient delivery. You will oversee subcontractor selection, negotiations, and performance while proactively mitigating risks and addressing potential delays. Serving as a trusted liaison, you lead collaboration among clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams, aligning operational execution with strategic goals.

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project records, including schedules, financials, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 8+ years of related post-graduate experience in the field.
  • Commercial construction project experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Project, Word, and Excel
  • Michigan Builders License required.
  • Health and Safety training, including CPR/First Aid Certification and OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Hour Construction Training required.
  • Procore and Bluebeam experience (preferred)
