Job summary

The Osborne Company is a Topeka, Kansas-based commercial general contractor seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead fast-moving EV infrastructure projects across the country. You will own planning, budgeting, and execution, coordinating field teams and clients to deliver on-time results.

The role requires hands-on PM experience in construction, with opportunities for advancement from Project Manager I to Senior Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in construction (commercial preferred).
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with site work, utilities, concrete or civil scopes is preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and field operations.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong financial awareness (job costing, budgets, forecasting).
• Experience with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, JobPlanner).
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
• Valid driver's license and authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and overall project performance.
• Coordinate daily with Superintendents, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Serve as primary contact for clients, engineers, and vendors.
• Buy out and manage subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and docs.
• Work with permitting team on permits and utility coordination.
• Track job costs, manage monthly billing, and maintain profitability.
• Collaborate with estimating and procurement on project setup and execution.
• Identify issues early to prevent delays; ensure quality and safety.

PAY: $85,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience

Osborne is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager who is an efficient problem solver to own a portfolio of fast-paced projects, primarily EV charging infrastructure for national clients, with precision, confidence, and a commitment to excellence. IMPORTANT: This role requires direct experience managing construction projects. Commercial experience is preferred, and we also welcome PMs from civil, utility, telecom, and production or multi-family residential construction. Candidates without construction project management experience (IT, software, etc.) will not be considered.

What You'll Do

As a Project Manager, you'll take full ownership of construction projects, primarily supporting fast-paced EV infrastructure work, from planning and budgeting to execution and client hand-off. This role requires managing multiple fast-moving projects at once, frequent coordination with field teams, and the ability to pivot quickly as project conditions change. Projects are often short-duration and may run concurrently across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Manage multiple construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and overall project performance
• Coordinate daily with Superintendents, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, and vendors
• Buy out and manage subcontracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Work with our permitting team on permits and utility coordination across many jurisdictions
• Track job costs, manage monthly billing, and maintain profitability
• Collaborate with estimating and procurement on project setup and execution

What You Need To Bring
