Job summary

Manning Contracting is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from planning to closeout. You will coordinate leadership with the team to deliver on time, within budget, and to quality standards.

The role requires strong communication and proven PM experience in construction, with emphasis on schedule and cost control, subcontract management, and reporting for internal and customer stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead in the development of high‑performance teams through establishing project communication patterns, collaboration, and consistent feedback.
  • Project buyout and subcontracts: Execute subcontracts and complete project buyout within 45 days of owner contract execution (main scopes) – subject to print development. Responsible for subcontract cost control throughout the course of the project.
  • Prime Contract Expert: Responsible for understanding the intricacies and mechanics of the prime contract and ensuring all project activity adheres to the contract language.
  • Project Financials: Responsible for timely draw submission and draw components needed for timely approval and payments. Also responsible for project financial health and adjusting as needed to deliver project profitability.
  • Project Reporting: Responsible for weekly/monthly project status update on schedule, budget, project areas of risk, etc for both Manning (internal) reporting and customer (external).
  • Owner Satisfaction: Manning’s tip of the spear with any owner relationship and issues. Responsible for regularly informing progress, issues, navigating changes/delays.
  • Design Team Liaison: Oversight/delegation of the RFI, submittal, PCO process through print evaluation and collaboration with the design team.
  • High Level Project Schedule: Responsible for the initial project schedule and bi-weekly schedule updates throughout the course of a project. Also responsible for managing procurement timelines to meet scheduled delivery dates.
  • PE/Co-Op Development: Growing PE/Co-Op skill sets when assigned to your project via training, coaching, and development.
  • Preconstruction: May assist in preconstruction/estimating functions such as pricing, contract negotiation, value engineering, customer presentations, subcontractor buyout.
  • Closeout: Manage/delegate documentation and all necessary information for project closeout and completion.
